Charlaine Harris: Dead Reckoning

The 11th Sookie Stachouse novel was..better than the 10th but all in all I can see Charlaine is getting tired of Sookieverse..
I dont know how it is for the writer to see Sookie on tv living her own life and at the same time she has to keep her loyal to the world in the books with writing.

If I was any of the guys Sookie's been dating, I wouldnt stand another day with her. She is annoying selfcentered whiny little *** lol. At least, when it comes to the differences between humanworld and the other world.

Sookie with her telepathy is sort of in the middle of these worlds, and I reckon she doesnt really know where she belongs. She wants to be human, but even the cluviel dor cant turn of her telepathy - the only thing separating her from the human world.

What went on the books then? Sookie and eric are constantly arguing and biggering over eachother and its getting pretty tiring, FOR ERIC! or it should anyway. Maybe I should go by charcter at a time the book and the happenings.

Sam & Sookie
Sam and Sookie seem to finally be at the place called friend only. Sam's bar gets burned down, thanks to sookies vendetta with the Pelt family. One must really wonder how much damage can a boss take cause by their employes? lol. If Sam wasnt a shifter himself, I bet sookie would get boot in ass faster than she can say Fangtasia.. wich is the place she could work if she didnt think too high of herself lol

The Pelts
Getting a bit tired of them allready! 3/4 of the family is dead and gone, and its still not over and it wont be over because Sandra in still in the loose. BORING! Makes me think low of the Police forces too because just look at how many times Sookie is in the middle of fire and no one wonders why?

Bill
Sookie chased by two men I assume were sent by Sandra, or Victor, runs in the rain to hide in Bills house and to cover up properly she takes of her clothes and under Bills floor she hides with dead till dark bill who wakes up several times, no wait he doesnt, just like the dead in B-Class horror movies JUST wont stay dead. And to hide properly she climbs naked over naked bill who even in death seems to like sookie on top of him very much... I could hide underground, thats how ashamed this scene made me!

Thankfully, the back of the car scene from book 3 doesnt repeat it self, and after that Bill just seems more likeable than for what Im used to. I'll get back to it later..

Alcide

Theres really no reason at all for him to be in the book, but for some idiotic reason Charlaine decided to put him in hiding in sookie bed hoping to get laid, after sookie breaks the bond with eric, wich, after broken, seems to have made a loud crack for everyone to act weird and blame it on the bond broken.
Apparently, since timing has always been bad for sookie and alcide to hook up, Alcide figured that since the bond is broken there cant be anything left in the hottest guy ever in Area 5 Eric for Sookie to like. *rollseyes* and he decided the perfect time to get laid with sookie is after the possible break up, waiting for her uninvited in her bed. *rollseyes again*

Pam
Poor Pam would want a child of her own but isnt allowed for some vampire law reason that we dont know. I would've liked to hear the reason for it tho. Other than Victor being a jerk. I love Pam, she respects her maker but with reservation. She stand ups to her own as well.

Eric
Erics dead maker married eric off before dying to the Queen of Oklahoma who has been calling to him every week for who knows how long and we only hear about it now?
The Queen has money, looks,is The Queen of Oklahoma, is immortal.. Sookie is a waiter, whiny waiter, who broke the bond with ERIC without asking, doesnt want to be married to him the vampire way as she keeps saying.. and did I say shes whiny.. I wonder what Eric does? Well it should be clear, but I doubt it is. Dont get me wrong, Im all for Eric and Sookie, but I really am starting to dislike Sookie, who plays the rescind invitation card thread too often, considering its her love she plays it with.

Sookie
Invites Amelia over to break the bond with Eric, wich happens before she even tells about it to Eric, and when it happens and Amelia tells about it to Alcide, who comes over in hopes to get laid, and Sookie sends Amelia packing, wich is really bad hospitality considering Amelia did built magic wards over her house, came over all the way from New Orleans, and broke the bond like sookie wanted. It is impossible to please Sookie, its impossible for her friends, for her relatives, and for her lovers. She is annoying!

Victor dies in this book, throu a plan Sookie made up. Obviously it gets a little bloody, wich upsets Sookie who apparently hoped victors veins would have flowers in them, and she gets whiny about  Eric being happy about Victor being dead. Erics bullshit tolerance is full at this point and he forcefully takes blood of Sookie while Bill watches. This obviously upsets Sookie, but like I said earlier about Bill, he didnt take Sookies side fully here.

I remember this book had work name 'Dead Letters', and I can see why. Sookie finds a letter written by gran, and with it she finds the fae love token Cluviel Dor - wich she can use to make one wish.
I wonder what she'll wish. She cant turn down telepathy, wich btw she got from mr. Cataliades. Didnt see that one coming!
The other letter is the one Eric received, about the deal ocella made with Oklahoma.

The Fae's in the book are a mystery, like, what are they up to? Somehow the importance of female Fae comes up and makes me wonder if Dermot and Claude are staying with sookie to  bring forth her fae side and then use her to breed more fae? Idk. Hooligans sounds like Fae safe center.

All in all I liked this book better than the previous but its getting a little too weird. I feel like CH is moving fast forward, and she doesnt seem to like writing about sookie in details like she used to. I dont know is it me, or has sookie always been this whiny but its really getting on my nerves. I hope we get satisfying conclusion to the series tho.
